Eight services. One accountable team.
Everything below is delivered by the same team, monitored from the same place and reported in the same review. That is the point of it. Nobody points at anybody else when something goes wrong.
Take one, or take the whole environment.
Run and protect the devices your team works from, the cloud tools they use every day, and the network and servers underneath it all. Nothing here is sold by the seat on a web page. What it costs depends on what you actually run, and we would rather look first.
What people ask before they call
What is the difference between IT support and a managed service?
IT support is reactive: you call when something breaks and you are billed for the time it takes to fix. A managed service is continuous: the provider monitors, patches, protects and reports on your systems every day for a fixed monthly fee, and the incentive is to stop problems happening rather than to attend them. If you only hear from your IT company when something breaks, you do not have a managed service.
The practical difference shows up in the boring months. A managed service is doing the most work in the periods when you notice nothing at all.
How long does it take to move IT provider?
Moving managed IT provider typically takes two to six weeks for a business under a hundred staff, depending on how much documentation the outgoing provider hands over and how many systems need re-pointing. The work is staged so that nothing is switched during your trading hours. LANTEK runs a discovery and documentation phase first, so the cut over itself is short and reversible.
The part most businesses underestimate is documentation. If your current provider holds passwords, licences and configuration that has never been written down, recovering that is the long pole, not the technical migration.
Do you replace our existing antivirus and firewall?
Not automatically. LANTEK assesses what is already in place and keeps whatever is doing its job properly. Existing firewalls and endpoint protection are frequently retained and brought under monitoring rather than ripped out. Replacement is recommended only where a product is end of life, unsupported, or unable to report into a central view.
An IT audit,
and a free dark web scan.
Our specialists audit your network, computer systems, Microsoft 365 environment, cybersecurity controls and backups on site, then hand you a written report with a prioritised action plan. Every audit includes a free dark web exposure scan, run against your domain before anybody visits.
Worried about what it takes to move?
Changing IT provider is the single biggest reason businesses stay somewhere they have outgrown. We plan the move around your working week, and we help carry the cost of getting across. Ask us how that works when we speak.
